About Us

Founded in 1852, Phi Mu is a women’s organization which provides personal + academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence + lifelong friendships through a shared tradition.

Philanthropy

Nationally, Phi Mu is the only sorority to be a corporate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). As a chapter, we’re fortunate to have East Tennessee Children’s Hospital near campus.

Sisterhood

Phi Mu is a home away from home during your collegiate years, so having a sisterhood of meaningful connections that builds enthusiasm and celebrates our bond as Phi Mus is of utmost importance.

Campus Life

The University of Tennessee has a variety of organizations, clubs, & activities. Phi Mu encourages our members to be strong leaders within the chapter & throughout our community.

We’re happy you’re here.

Welcome to the Kappa Chapter of Phi Mu. Our organization strives to provide personal & academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence, and lifelong friendships through a shared tradition.

Phi Mu promotes vibrant living encouraging members to achieve their personal best.

A Letter From Our President

Hi! I’m Drew Duncan, and I’m the President of Phi Mu at the University of Tennessee Knoville.

Serving Kappa Chapter as President has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Having the opportunity to work with my sisters to pave the future of our chapter has been incredible.

Phi Mu holds a special place in my heart and in the hearts of our sisters and alumnae. While each of us chose Phi Mu for different reasons, our sisterhood bonds us together forever.

I hope that you take the time to learn more about our chapter, our bond, and our values.

from our members

“I have been lucky enough to call Phi Mu my home the past three years. Within this chapter, I have been able to push myself out of my comfort zone and grow into the person I am today. The girls I met in this chapter are some of the greatest friends I have ever met.”

Cate Z., PC 19

“Coming from a small town, I was looking a home in Knoxville; and I found it in Phi Mu. Phi Mu has given me close friendships, and a family that will last a lifetime. It’s provided me with more experiences and memories than I could have ever expected.”

Grace H., PC 19

“My mom was a Phi Mu at UT, so since I was younger I’ve always dreamt of running home to Phi Mu on bid day. I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint and continues to go beyond my expectations. I love this chapter and love having this added bond with my mom.”

Tess D., PC 20
