Love, Honor, Truth
These words are the cornerstones on which our Fraternity was founded and are the principles which guide our sisterhood today.

About Us
Founded in 1852, Phi Mu is a women’s organization which provides personal + academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence + lifelong friendships through a shared tradition.
Philanthropy
Nationally, Phi Mu is the only sorority to be a corporate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). As a chapter, we’re fortunate to have East Tennessee Children’s Hospital near campus.
Sisterhood
Phi Mu is a home away from home during your collegiate years, so having a sisterhood of meaningful connections that builds enthusiasm and celebrates our bond as Phi Mus is of utmost importance.
Campus Life
The University of Tennessee has a variety of organizations, clubs, & activities. Phi Mu encourages our members to be strong leaders within the chapter & throughout our community.
We’re happy you’re here.
Welcome to the Kappa Chapter of Phi Mu. Our organization strives to provide personal & academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence, and lifelong friendships through a shared tradition.
Phi Mu promotes vibrant living encouraging members to achieve their personal best.
Philanthropy
Phi Mu’s philanthropy is Children’s Miracle Network nationally, and locally we are right down the road from East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
Sisterhood
Throughout the year, we have a variety of sisterhood events. These events vary year-to-year but in the past have included drive-in movies, Galentine’s, hikes in the Smokies, and outings to Dollywood.
Academics
Academics is a top priority for the members of Phi Mu. Our chapter continuously achieves a GPA higher than the Panhellenic average. We also have several members who are part of the Honors Program, Dean’s List, Order of Omega, and other scholastic organizations.
Campus
Our members are active participants of campus life. We have members in several organizations, across a number of interests.
Recruitment
We’re proud to promote Panhellenic positivity and encourage any woman attending UT who is interested to take advantage of recruitment.
A Letter From Our President
Hi! I’m Leah Davis, and I’m proud to be the President of Phi Mu at the University of Tennessee Knoville.
Since joining Phi Mu, I’ve wanted to serve our chapter as President, and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to do so.
Phi Mu holds a special place in my heart and in the hearts of our sisters and alumnae. While each of us chose Phi Mu for different reasons, our sisterhood bonds us together forever.
I hope that you take the time to learn more about our chapter, our bond, and our values.
from our members
“I have been lucky enough to call Phi Mu my home the past three years. Within this chapter, I have been able to push myself out of my comfort zone and grow into the person I am today. The girls I met in this chapter are some of the greatest friends I have ever met.”
“Coming from a small town, I was looking a home in Knoxville; and I found it in Phi Mu. Phi Mu has given me close friendships, and a family that will last a lifetime. It’s provided me with more experiences and memories than I could have ever expected.”
“My mom was a Phi Mu at UT, so since I was younger I’ve always dreamt of running home to Phi Mu on bid day. I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint and continues to go beyond my expectations. I love this chapter and love having this added bond with my mom.”
